On May 20 from 6-8 pm GPNA will be planting trees in Garfield Park Nature Center. The Friends of GR Parks have generously donated the trees to replace ones cut down due to Consumer's Energy line work.

Erhardt Construction is giving away 5 prizes for renovation prizes, Grand Prize is $45,000. GPNA is one of the contestants. We are in desperate need of renovating the Lodge (our offices). The top 5 contestant with the most votes will move to the second round of voting. First round of voting is from June 18 - July 16 We need all of your votes each and every day! Healthy Homes and the Garfield Park Neighborhood Association are entering into a collaborative partnership to improve the safety of homes within our area. We need volunteers to make this collaboration work. If you are willing to be a Volunteer Installer of free smoke detectors and free carbon monoxide alarms get involved!

Volunteer Installers go into families’ homes and install smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms. These volunteers share important fire and carbon monoxide safety information with residents as well.
